Ian's latest piece written for Gloucester Cathedral Choir, a setting of the Advent Collect 'Almighty God, give us grace', will be sung by the choir as the Communion motet, conducted by Adrian Partington. This is the final piece that Ian composed for Gloucester, due to terminal illness. You can attend in person or join the live streaming of the event at gloucestercathedral.org.uk. Please see website for details. Ian has had a very fruitful creative relationship with Gloucester Cathedral and its Director of Music Adrian Partington in recent years. The climax of this partnership will be a CD of Ian's music written for Gloucester, to be recorded in March 2021 and released by Somm recordings.
A special Holy Communion Service celebrating Harvest. Now that the cathedral choir are able to sing again for services, this morning's service will include the first performance of Ian's motet for Harvest '"For the beauty of the earth", a musical resetting of the well-known Harvest hymn words. Worcester Cathedral Choir, conducted by Samuel Hudstone; Nicholas Freestone organist.
As well as congregational attendance, the service will also be live-streamed on the Worcester Cathedral Facebook page.

The annual performance of Ian's 'St. John Passion' will take place during the Good Friday Service. This is a 30 minute piece for choir and organ. There is a said service from 12 midday, then a sung service with the choir from 1.30 to 3 pm.

'The Gloucester Girls' Service' will be sung by the Girl Choristers at Evensong. Conductor: Nia Jones. Organist: Adrian Partington. This Service was originally commissioned for the first anniversary of the inauguration of Girl Choristers at Gloucester Cathedral, in November 2017.
Ian's short anthem 'We beseech thee, Almighty God' will be sung by the cathedral choir at Evensong, conducted by Adrian Partington.

Ian's setting of the Collect (prayer) for Candlemas, 'Almighty & Everliving God', will be sung by Gloucester Cathedral Choir, conducted by Adrian Partington. It was first performed by the choir at the Candlemas Carol Service in February 2019.
"Music for Advent to Candlemas": a recital by Worcester Cathedral Girl Choristers with the cathedral Lay Clerks, which will include a performance of Ian's Christmas Carol 'The Infant King'. Conducted by Nicholas Freestone. The recital will last for 45 minutes and is preceded by Evensong, sung by the choir at 5 pm.
